Our Mushroom Farm

Tucker Family Fungi is a family-run, veteran-owned specialty mushroom farm built around good food, thoughtful cultivation, and the belief that farms are strongest when their communities are part of the story.

The farm is operated by Frank and Beth Tucker, alongside their son, Josiah Tucker, founder of GrowFresh™. What began as a family passion for cultivating mushrooms has grown into a working farm dedicated to producing fresh, locally grown specialty mushrooms for families, chefs, farmers markets, and businesses across Southeast Texas.

We focus on natural, responsible cultivation methods, growing our mushrooms with carefully selected ingredients and an obsessive attention to quality, freshness, and flavor. From Lion’s Mane and gourmet oyster mushrooms to harder-to-find specialty varieties, everything we grow is cultivated with the goal of putting exceptional mushrooms on local tables.

Tucker Family Fungi also serves as the original affiliate farm of GrowFresh™, helping develop and prove the cultivation systems, techniques, and infrastructure GrowFresh uses to support the next generation of mushroom farms.

At the heart of it all, though, we’re still a family farm. Every purchase, farmers market visit, restaurant order, and recommendation helps us continue growing—and helps build a stronger local food system right here in Texas.​
